This privacy policy explains how I handle your personal data when you visit imgroot.nl or contact me through the website. I keep it simple: I only collect what I need to reply to you.

What I Collect and Why
Contact and booking forms
When you send a message through a form on this website, I receive the details you fill in: your name, email address, the topic or type of event, and any date, location or message you add. I use these details only to reply to your question, prepare a quote or booking, and stay in touch about it. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement, or my legitimate interest in answering messages I receive.
Visitor statistics
I use GoatCounter (opens in a new tab) to see how many people visit the site, which pages they view and which buttons they click. GoatCounter does not use cookies and does not collect personal data such as names or IP addresses. Because of this, no cookie banner is needed.
Hosting
The website is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). Like any web server, GitHub may log technical data such as your IP address to deliver the site and keep it secure. See GitHub’s privacy statement (opens in a new tab).
Who Processes Your Data
- Web3Forms receives the contents of the contact forms and forwards them to my email address.
- Mijndomein hosts my email in the Netherlands.
- GitHub hosts the website (see above).
- GoatCounter counts visits to the website, without cookies and without storing personal data (see above).
I do not sell your data or share it with anyone for marketing purposes.
Cookies and Embedded Content
This website does not set cookies. It does store two small things in your own browser: the language you choose, so the site opens in that language next time, and, if you go from the contact form to the DJ booking form, your name and email address for that session only, so you don’t have to type them again. None of this is sent to me or anyone else. The fonts are hosted on this website itself, so no data is sent to font providers. Links to Instagram, TikTok, SoundCloud, LinkedIn and other sites open those sites, where their own privacy policies apply.
How Long I Keep Your Data
I keep messages for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, and no longer than two years after our last contact. If we work together, I keep the details I am legally required to keep, such as invoices, for seven years.
Your Rights
You can ask me to see, correct or delete your personal data, to limit how I use it, to object to its use, or to receive it in a format you can take elsewhere. Send me an email and I will reply within one week.
If you are not happy with how I handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (opens in a new tab).

I may update this privacy policy. The latest version is always on this page.
